Description: We build cognitive games and simulations in Virtual Reality for Canada’s youth with a broad range of special needs. We also build specialized programs geared towards specific disabilities, such as Autism. We are currently developing prototypes in virtual reality, that allow us to bring these students in to a more immersive multi-sensory environment. We are creating multiple different environments in order to help reduce stimulation or create a stimulative environment depending on what the student requires to benefit their learning. By constructing multi-sensory environments in virtual reality it allows us to place the cost at an affordable price that schools and group homes could easily afford. This also allows for a variety of different simulations that can benefit the differences between down syndrome and Autism, whereas a traditional environment has to create a more generic room that fits all special needs but isn’t able to really help anyone in particular.
