Description: Vegvisir is an Advanced Situational Awareness System (ASAS) that provides personnel of an armoured vehicle a better understanding of the immediate surroundings and also the areas of interest further away. It is mainly meant for the mounted personnel inside armoured vehicles (APC, IFV, MBT, etc). The Vegvisir enables the users to observe, orientate, decide and act faster than with conventional / current solutions.The Vegvisir system creates a 360° visual dome around the vehicle and enables multi-user, simultaneous, live Augmented Reality or Mixed Reality feed with very low latency. The second layer in the system consists of long range sensors that enables the crew to pinpoint targets and observe areas of interest several kilometres from the vehicle.The full system with Vegvisir enables the fusion and visualisation of all collected data in one platform for increased situational awareness and support for decision making. It is interoperable between several platforms to create a common operating picture
